Founded in 1996, Innovative Machine Specialists Inc. operates two facilities in Marshfield: our main office/machine shop and a dedicated welding and fabrication shop.

We serve a wide range of industries, with a strong emphasis on stainless steel and plastics for food processing applications. Our customers include packaging suppliers, food processors, heavy industry, water treatment construction, OEM manufacturers, trucking companies, and more.

Now Hiring: Full-Time Welder

We’re looking for a full-time welder to join our growing team!

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of TIG Stainless Steel welding experience

• Must pass a drug test

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

General Responsibilities

• Weld various types of materials

• Fabricate and assemble components (steel, stainless, aluminum, etc.)

• Use and interpret measuring equipment accurately

• Read and interpret engineering drawings

• Verify specifications and modify dimensions as needed

• Assemble components and ensure consistent, high-quality output

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Perform on-site installation work as needed

• Attend required meetings

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

Education & Experience

PPE Requirements

Always Required:

• Steel-toe footwear

• Eye protection

• Ear protection in required areas

Occasionally Required:

• Hand protection

• Face protection

• Respirator use

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand and work at waist-to-shoulder height

• Occasionally: sit, walk, bend, twist/pivot, and reach

• Must be able to lift/move up to 70 lbs

• Rarely required: squat, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders, work overhead or below waist level

Work Environment

• Primarily indoor shop environment
