KeyDutiesandResponsibilities

• Readingandinterpretingblueprintsandtechnicaldrawingstounderstandprojectspecifications.

• Measuring,cutting,andshapingmetalcomponentsusinghandtools,plasmacutters,andmetalcuttingmachines.

• ApplyingweldingtechniquessuchasMIG,TIG,Stick,andarcweldingtojoinmetalparts.

• Settingup,operating,andmaintainingweldingequipmentsafelyandefficiently.

• Inspectingandtestingweldstoensurecompliancewithdesignrequirements,safetystandards,andstructuralreliability.

• Applyingknowledgeofmetallurgyandmaterialpropertiestoselectappropriateweldingmethods.

• Maintainingacleanandsafeworkenvironment,followingOSHAandothersafetyprotocols.

• Collaboratingwithothertradessuchaselectricians,generallaborers,andengineersonprojects.

RequiredSkillsandQualifications

• Education:Highschooldiplomaorequivalent;vocationalortechnicaltraininginweldingishighlypreferred.

• Certifications:ProfessionalcredentialsfromrecognizedorganizationsliketheAmericanWeldingSociety(AWS),includingCertifiedWelder(CW).

• Experience:Hands-onweldingexperiencefrompreviousjobsorapprenticeshipsis required. High Proficiency in aluminum TIG welding.

• TechnicalSkills:Proficiencyinvariousweldingtechniques,blueprintreading,andmetalfabrication.

• SafetyAwareness:Knowledgeofsafetyprotocolsanduseofprotectiveequipmentsuchasgloves,masks,andboots.

• PhysicalAbilities:Abilitytoworkinhigh-heat,noisy,oroutdoorenvironments,sometimesinchallengingconditions.

• PersonalTraits:Attentiontodetail,steadyhand,patience,andtheabilitytoadapttochangingworkconditions.
