Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Welder I uses MIG and TIG welders. Familiarity with safety, operation, and daily maintenance of the equipment. Ability to see inspection equipment and perform part inspection during production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for keeping work space clean and ready to work at all times.

• Responsible for keeping tape measures, weld bead scale, weld symbol handbook, scribe, metal marking pencil, grease pen, and sharpie on their person.

• Demonstrate a controlled weld bead that is acceptable with minimal rework.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to read weld symbols and blueprints.

• Ability to operate a MIG welder.
