Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication:
• Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core, to fabricate metal
parts and assemblies as per blueprints and technical drawings.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine the welding
process, materials, and welding sequence required.
• Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and beveling, ensuring strong welds and
proper alignment of metal parts.
• Weld a variety of metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, to produce highstrength joints in complex configurations.
• Maintain high standards of welding quality, ensuring that all welds are free from defects such as
cracks, porosity, and undercuts.
• Inspect and test welds to verify that they meet specifications and pass non-destructive testing.
Maintenance & Repairs:
• Support maintenance teams by fabricating custom replacement parts and performing repairs on
machinery, structures, and production equipment.
• Modify and repair broken or worn-out equipment and machinery parts, including frames,
brackets, and components, to restore functionality and ensure continued operations.
• Conduct post-welding inspections to ensure structural integrity and conformity to specifications.
Quality Control & Documentation:
• Document welds, including materials used, work performed, and any non-conformances, to
ensure proper tracking and compliance with production standards.
• Maintain welding logs and document any issues encountered during the welding process,
ensuring accurate records for future reference.
• Ensure all welding work aligns with industry codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Tool & Equipment Operation:
• Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and other related tools for welding, fitting,
and fabrication work.
• Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition, performing routine maintenance and minor
repairs as needed.
• Set up welding machines according to material specifications, selecting appropriate settings for
optimal welding performance.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of welding stations, ensuring that all tools and
materials are readily available and properly stored.

Safety & Compliance:
• Strictly adhere to safety standards by wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as
gloves, face shields, welding helmets, and flame-resistant clothing.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure the workspace is clear of any fire hazards.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to the safety culture by identifying hazards and
implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that welding fumes, sparks, and metal debris
are properly managed to minimize safety risks.
