What You'll Do
- Weld broken tools, machine parts, jigs, and fixtures using appropriate welding methods.
- Operate automatic welding machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform TIG welding and aluminum brazing.
- Weld or braze components using oxy-acetylene, GTAW, GMAW, or other processes as needed.
- Set up work from prints, drawings, or fixtures and select welding sequences to minimize distortion.
- Ensure all welds are leak-proof and conduct final inspections of your work.
- Maintain bench stock supplies and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Apply basic machine skills and mechanical assembly techniques.
- Perform additional duties assigned to support production and maintenance needs.
What You'll Need
- Certified Welder (Required).
- High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- 1–3 years of welding/fabrication experience preferred.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication, and blueprint reading.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise judgment to perform duties safely and accurately.
- Lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 70 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods and bend/twist as required.
- Machine shop setting with potential exposure to dust, sand, and dirt.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
