PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Welder B to join our client, a respected leader in industrial manufacturing. 🕒 Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Thursday | 4:30 AM – 3:00 PM
💲 Pay: $22.00 – $24.50/hour, with potential to earn up to $28.00/hour upon successful API 1104 certification
What You'll Do
As a Welder B, you'll play a critical role in producing high-quality components that support essential manufacturing operations. You'll be responsible for operating welding equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring products meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment and fixtures safely and efficiently.
Produce quality welded components according to specifications and production schedules.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
Maintain welding equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
Keep work areas organized, safe, and production-ready.
Request necessary welding supplies and materials as needed.
Support company quality initiatives and manufacturing best practices.
Assist with steel assembly and CNC operations when required.
Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Collaborate with supervisors and production teams to achieve operational goals.
Work overtime, including occasional weekends, when business needs require.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year welding experience or at least six (6) months of experience as a Welding C.
Understanding of basic welding processes and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
Exposure to steel assembly or CNC operations.
Desire to pursue advanced welding certification and career growth opportunities.
Assessment Requirement

✅ Eligible to pursue API 1104 Certification after demonstrating required competencies.
✅ Candidates who successfully pass the API 1104 test may have the opportunity to earn up to $28.00 per hour.
✅ Testing may be available as early as the 90-day mark for employees who demonstrate readiness and skill proficiency.
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, occasionally reaching 100°F.
Use of welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective equipment.
Standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks throughout the shift.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and material handling.
Interview Requirement: Candidates must bring safety glasses and steel-toe/safety shoes to the interview.
