Job Overview:

Welders are responsible for using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding to fabricate products from blueprints with careful attention to detail to meet and exceed customer expectations.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds
  • Work from blueprints, to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures 
  • Operate hand grinders as needed
  • Visually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product

 

For This Role, You Will Need:   

  • High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs 
  • 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting
  • Ability to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water.  May be exposed to any number of these elements.   

 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Associates Degree in any field
  • AWS Certification
  • Knowledge of metallurgical properties or related course work
  • 3-5 years experience MIG Welding in Production setting
