Weld Robot Operator – 1st Shift
Salina, KS
Great Plains Manufacturing currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Weld Robot Operator to join our team at our Construction Equipment (CE) facility in Salina, KS.
This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up, ensure accurate placement of parts, and operate robot weld cells.
- Read job specifications to determine parts and load sequence.
- Visually inspect parts to be loaded to verify they are of good quality.
- Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction and report as needed.
- Visually inspect parts quality to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Load finished parts on to cart for transportation to next process.
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Assist fellow operators when needed.
- Observes weld robot operation to detect defects or equipment malfunction and reports as directed.
- Monitor weld robot tasks and recommends quality improvement initiatives to the welding manager.
- Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

- Must be flexible to be crossed trained in different areas of the shop as required.
