Job Overview:

Weld Fixture Maintenance -1st Shift- Salina

Great Plains currently has an opening for a Weld Fixture Maintenance person in Salina. The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting weldments for fit up issues Repair/maintain weld fixtures Design and build go no-go fixtures Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Possess a strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to use standard measuring devices
Ability to read engineering prints
Possess basic computer skills, willing to learn basic ProE
Ability to obtain a GP’s forklift license
Ability to learn and operate certain types of manual machine shop equipment, i.e., mills and lathes
Ability to weld and operate a cutting torch.
