Wastewater Operator

Location: Hartford, CT

Pay: Competitive, based on experience and/or wastewater certification

Shifts: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, Weekend Days, Weekend Nights

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced and motivated Wastewater Operators to join our manufacturing operation in Hartford, CT. We are hiring across multiple shifts, making this a great opportunity for candidates with wastewater treatment experience as well as those looking to grow their skills in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial wastewater treatment systems and related equipment.
• Perform routine testing, sampling, and monitoring of wastewater to ensure proper treatment.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, records, and documentation.
• Monitor chemical levels and treatment processes and make adjustments as needed.
• Identify and report equipment issues, process abnormalities, or potential safety concerns.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of wastewater equipment.
• Follow all environmental, safety, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure proper operation of the wastewater system.

Qualifications

• Previous wastewater treatment or industrial wastewater experience preferred.
• Wastewater certification is a plus and may qualify candidates for a higher rate of pay.
• Ability to perform basic testing, monitoring, and recordkeeping.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work the assigned shift, including weekends when applicable.
