Position Summary

Meduri Farms is seeking a reliable and motivated Wastewater Treatment Operator to operate and maintain the wastewater treatment facility supporting food processing operations. This position is responsible for monitoring treatment processes, collecting operational data, maintaining compliance with environmental regulations, and ensuring the efficient operation of the treatment plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate wastewater treatment processes to ensure efficient plant performance.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment, tanks, pumps, piping, and treatment systems.
• Monitor and record operating data including flow rates, pressures, pH, temperatures, and chemical usage.
• Adjust process settings and chemical feed systems as necessary to maintain treatment objectives.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, reports, and compliance records.
• Troubleshoot process issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.
• Assist with cleaning, housekeeping, and general upkeep of the treatment facility.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental permits, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Respond to alarms and operational issues as needed.
• Work closely with production, maintenance, and management teams to support plant operations.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred

• Previous wastewater treatment, industrial operations, food processing, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with pumps, filtration systems, chemical feed systems, and industrial process equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work around industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Overtime, weekend, holiday, and on-call work may be required during seasonal production periods.
