Wastewater Lab Technician

We are seeking to hire multiple Lab Technicians for a current project in the Spring Hill, FL area. These positions would be supporting a large industrial construction project for the next 1 to 1.5 years. These positions are expected to turn into permanent roles after the completion of the project. Starting Pay:Up to $25/hr. - based on experience

Schedule:Either a 2-2-3 schedule or a Dupont schedule - Ask your recruiter for details on those schedules if you're not familiar. Both schedules have built-in overtime which increases your earnings!

Hours:12-hour shifts - Daylight and/or Night shift

Job Overview:

Join a dynamic team as a full-time Laboratory and Treatability Technician. This role is essential in supporting industrial water and wastewater treatment projects by performing critical analyses, maintaining lab equipment, and developing operational procedures. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in laboratory work related to industrial wastewater characterization and enjoy working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tests for water and wastewater treatment operations including jar tests, SDI, and pilot evaluations.
  • Collect and record data such as pH, ORP, temperature, and pressure.
  • Operate and perform light maintenance on lab equipment like pumps, heaters, and mixers.
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and maintain lab inventory and calibration records.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lab equipment and ensure safety documentation is up to date.
  • Manage data and communicate findings effectively within the team.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Chemistry or a related field is highly preferred

  • Experience or training in wet inorganic chemistry analytical procedures.

  • Mechanical aptitude and technical background preferred.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow complex procedures and safety protocols.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift/carry and move up to 45 lbs.
  • Must wear PPE as required on site.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and focus in a busy environment.
