Description: This position will be part of the Waste Water Stream group who will maintain a closed loop system of waste water to the treatment facility. This includes knowing how to operate the Waste Water Treatment plant, the Beta on the galvanizer, and galvanizer rack welding. This position will cross train in all these areas and be responsible for knowing how to do tests, reporting, and keeping the stream in specification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality and ISO:9001:2015
- Ability to operate and maintain Beta machine and paint wash system and monitoring of both areas flow to waste water treatment plant
- Knowledge of the galvanizing and paint line systems and chemicals used
- Ability to test galvanizer and paintline tanks and add chemicals when required
- Provide waste management assistance as well as be able to operate the waste water treatment plant
- Segregation of waste, outside storage area, proper DOT drums, and waste drum inventory
- Knowledge of chemicals and maintenance skills are a plus
- Provide assistance to galvanizer rack building area
- Assist with machine guarding and other safety related equipment modifications
- Assist with design and build machine guarding to OSHA compliance standards.
- Utilize 5S of Housekeeping
- Understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations
- Reporting and Documentation for maintaining Beta and Waste Water Treatment Plant
- Other tasks as designated by TeamLeader
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven ability to work with and build teams
- Welding certification a plus
- Strong computer, written, and communication skills
- Flexible work schedule if required
- Proven ability to work safely with little supervision
- Knowledge in the use of computers and manufacturing planning tools
- Knowledge of chemicals and practicing safe working habits
- A sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work, communicate, and exchange ideas with teams and leaders
- Willing to obtain Class II Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification
- Willing to obtain 24 and/or 40 HAZWOPER Certification and respond to spills when they occur
