Job summary/Objective of Job
The Warranty Hi-Lo Driver is responsible for transporting core units throughout the facility to support the warranty inspection and remanufacturing process. This position plays a key role in ensuring cores are delivered accurately and efficiently to the Warranty Department for inspection and then routed to the appropriate department for further processing. The ideal candidate will safely operate a hi-lo/forklift, maintain accurate paperwork, and assist with cleaning and organizing core units as needed.
Essential job functions:
- Operate a hi-lo/forklift safely and efficiently throughout the facility
- Pick up and transport core units to the Warranty Department for inspection
- Deliver inspected core units to the appropriate department or designated area
- Complete, organize, and accurately identify paperwork related to core movement and warranty processing
- Verify part numbers, tags, and documentation to ensure accurate tracking of units
- Assist with cleaning and preparing core units for inspection or processing
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in work areas and staging locations
- Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines
- Communicate effectively with the Warranty Department and other departments regarding core status and movement
- Assist with additional warehouse or material handling duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous forklift/hi-lo experience preferred
- Ability to safely move and handle heavy-duty transmission, differential, or truck part cores
- Basic computer and paperwork/documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; heavier lifting may require assistance or equipment
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
