Position Summary: The Warehouse Worker carries out various warehousing duties such as inventory control, quality inspections, packing/organizing, and transporting as directed by Warehouse Manager, Supervisor, or lead(s). This position may be seasonal or year-round, depending on department and company needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
80%- Transportation and Storage:
15%- Hop Bale Management:
5%- Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:
1. Work a 40-hour workweek. Overtime will be paid for hours worked over 40 per workweek.
2. During harvest must be able to work ten-hour days, seven days a week.
3. Physically able to operate a forklift, walk around the facility, climb on and off equipment, and lift up to75 pounds (with or without assistance).
4. Must comply with all John I. Haas, Inc. policies and procedures, including successful passing of a pre-employment background check and drug test.
5. Must comply with our Integrated Management System (IMS) and be trained on procedures applicable to the requirements of the position, including managing significant quality, environmental, and food safety aspects.
Required:
Preferred:
1. Previous work experience driving trucks
2. Previous experience working with hops
3. Previous warehouse experience (preferred for consideration of seasonal employment)
