Join nVent in Eleanor, West Virginia, as a Warehouse Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our products are accurately prepared, packaged, and shipped to customers on time.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Prepare, pull, and package materials and components accurately to support customer shipments.
  • Load trailers and organize staging areas to ensure efficient warehouse and shipping operations.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Verify materials, parts, and packaging meet quality and shipping requirements before shipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

YOU HAVE:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn product parts and materials quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, or similar material handling equipment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory, shipping, and warehouse-related transactions.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, quality-focused work environment.
  • Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.
  • Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.
  • This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
  • Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
