Warehouse Supervisor I

Primary Purpose

Frontline leadership role responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and material handling. Serves as a process owner for assigned warehouse functions, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in chemical storage and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance oversight.
  • Oversee receiving, order picking, staging, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure chemicals and materials are stored, labeled, and segregated according to safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle count processes.
  • Enforce PPE, safety procedures, and hazardous material handling requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards in warehouse areas.
  • Communicate staffing, workflow, and material needs with production and logistics teams.
  • Support compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and internal safety standards.
  • Assist with incident reporting, corrective actions, and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/WMS (receipts, transfers, lot traceability, etc.)
  • Salary $27.00 to $32.00 per hour. 

 

 

Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of chemical storage and hazardous material requirements.
  • Proficiency using ERP/WMS and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience; 1+ year in leadership preferred.
  • Forklift certification required (company may provide if needed).

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor conditions.
  • Must wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator when required).
