Job Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY 

  • Supervise all warehouse operations to ensure that orders are selected, packaged, loaded, and dispatched safely, timely, and efficiently, and proper records are maintained. Functional areas of responsibility include all material and logistics functions required to manage warehouse operations. Typically, accountable for a single warehouse area.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Lead and supervise all day-to-day warehouse operations within P2, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate material flow to support production requirements.  
  • Manage receiving, put-away, storage, picking, staging, and material delivery activities in accordance with company procedures and SOX controls.  
  • Ensure production lines are supplied with the correct materials at the correct time to maintain schedule adherence and prevent downtime.  
  • Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, transaction compliance, and root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies.  
  • Enforce the "No Transaction, No Movement" policy and ensure all material movements are completed accurately within Oracle and associated systems.  
  • Monitor warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, material shortages, receiving performance, productivity, safety, and on-time delivery to production.  
  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable warehouse associates, material handlers, and forklift operators.  
  • Conduct daily tier meetings, communicate priorities, and ensure alignment with production, planning, materials, and logistics teams.  
  • Maintain warehouse organization, housekeeping, and visual management standards in accordance with 5S principles.  
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS, OSHA, forklift, and site safety requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.  
  • Support physical inventories, cycle count programs, inventory reconciliations, and audit activities.  
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring all documentation and system transactions are completed accurately.  
  • Partner closely with Planning, Procurement, Production, and Logistics teams to proactively identify and resolve material constraints.  
  • Investigate receiving, shipping, inventory, and transaction issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.  
  • Ensure proper utilization of warehouse space, racking, equipment, and labor resources to support current and future business growth.  
  • Support new product introductions, project launches, and operational changes by ensuring warehouse readiness and material availability.  
  • Develop staffing plans and labor allocation strategies to support fluctuating production demands and business priorities.  
  • Maintain compliance with all Vertiv policies, procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.  
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, and operational excellence.  
  • Serve as the primary warehouse escalation point for P2 material flow, inventory control, and warehouse execution issues.

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Minimum Job Qualifications:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management or Logistics preferred  
  • Associate degree or Military certification in Materials Management or related field with 3+ years of directly related experience will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree  
  • 5+ years of experience  
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in shipping and stockroom environment  
  • Obtain and maintain relevant, required certifications for work performed, such as a forklift license  

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Proficient in MS office  
  • Excellent customer service skills  
  • Demonstrated knowledge and utilization of total quality management principles and use of problem-solving tools  
  • Education or experience with self-directed work teams, facilitation skills, or training  
  • Proven material control experience  
  • Experience supervising and coaching hourly employees  
  • Knowledge of process improvement methods, manufacturing systems, Network Power operations, product and organization  

 

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS 

  • BA or BS or equivalent experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management or Logistics preferred

  • Heavy Lifting (over 45 Ibs.) 
  • Frequent Standing 
  • Frequent driving (car, van, truck) 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS 

  • Protective Equipment Required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.) 

 

 

 

TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED  

  • 10% of Travel Required (Mainly Between Work Sites)
