Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Department: Parts
Reports To: Parts Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Purpose:
Supervises and assists employees whose jobs relate to the receiving, storing, and transporting of products in warehouse. Must have the ability to maintain a safe, secure and organized work environment by following and enforcing company and legal standards. Duties include responsibility for overall warehouse operations, including but not limited to receiving, picking, WIP, packing, shipping, inventory management, team management, logistics and physical inventories.
Essential Job Functions:
- Leads physical inventories and cycle count programs
- Reviews warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is secure and safe.
- Leads operations in a manner that promotes safety and OSHA compliance.
- Store items in bins, shelves and floor
- Tag items for identification
- Maintain records of inventory
- Stock materials
- Assist with receiving and shipping of products
- Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near warehouse plant or worksite.
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or fork lift
- Prepares products for shipment
- Prepares identifying information/ shipping instructions on containers
- Pulls stock orders
- All other tasks as identified by Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises warehouse staff
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in warehouse
- Supervisory experience preferred
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient utilizing computers including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Internet Explorer and general laptop or desktop computer use.
- Working knowledge of inventory control software
Physical Demands:
- This position requires sitting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, climbing, moving and reaching overhead and working overhead.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds and work inside and outdoors in various climate and temperatures.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
Work Environment:
This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, fumes, airborne particles and moderate noise levels. Appropriate PPE gear must be worn as required.
