Job Overview:

Warehouse Supervisor

Reports To: Distribution Center (DC) Manager

Direct Reports: 9–12 team members

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This role includes managing team performance and driving continuous improvement in warehouse processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Team Leadership

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily warehouse assignments to meet operational goals.
  • Supervise and train team members, providing regular coaching, feedback, and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily warehouse activities and report on performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with all operational guidelines and company procedures.

Warehouse Inspection & Safety

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment at all times.
  • Monitor adherence to quality, rotation, and accuracy policies.
  • Oversee shift transitions to ensure seamless handoffs and continued operational flow.

Shipping & Documentation

  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Support and coach team members to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.

Safety & Security

  • Assist the DC Manager with security and fire safety protocols, ensuring all employees follow established safety procedures.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
