**POSITION OVERVIEW

**

Responsible for proper functioning of warehouse and storage areas, inventory control, receiving, and shipping for the Grain and Livestock divisions.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

**

**

**

  1. Promote a professional image at all times.

  2. Load and unload materials, supplies, equipment to/from vehicles, trailers, etc.; protect and secure loads for transport.

  3. Receive and inspect incoming materials; unpack goods; verify quantity received; move to storage, staging areas, etc.; restock unused materials from job sites.

  4. Segregate and report defects to the appropriate personnel; return goods as necessary to prescribed procedures.

  5. Coordinate, implement and maintain a system for tracking and maintaining physical inventories of stored materials.

  6. Requisition purchases to replenish inventories to prescribed order points and procedures; purchase materials and supplies as directed; expedite deliveries from vendors.

  7. Organize, clean and maintain finished goods storage areas to include warehouses, lean-to’s, outside storage areas, etc. for the Grain and Dairy divisions; adequately protect inventory being stored.

  8. Assemble and check orders, do packing and crating, coordinate freight arrangements when needed, and load goods for customers, service personnel, millwrights, or delivery to job sites.

  9. Maintain records corresponding to inventory, shipping, and receiving; prepare pack slips, bills of lading, etc.

  10. Assist millwrights, service personnel, installation crews, etc. in charging jobs appropriately for goods released/added back from/to inventory.

  11. Maintain strong relations with customers, vendors, millwrights, service personnel, crew foremen, and others as it relates to fulfilling material requirements for customer orders.

  12. Take accurate physical inventories, cycle counts, etc. as directed.

  13. Instruct and coordinate drivers on pickups and drop offs for Grain and L/S division; serve as a backup CDL driver.

  14. Clean and inspect vehicles, equipment and tools used personally or by others instructed by you; report maintenance issues to appropriate personnel; store vehicles and equipment ready for use.

  15. Assist Customer Parts & Service Coordinator as needed.

  16. Keep current a valid operator’s license and CDL as required by law; serve as a backup CDL driver; maintain forklift operator certification.

  17. Assist in maintaining the main office grounds and yard; assist in similar work at alternate business locations as directed.

  18. Maintain a safe working environment; promote and follow safe work practices; comply with company safety policies.

  19. Perform all other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS

**

**

**

High school diploma or G.E.D., or a minimum six months working experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience as determined by the Grain and Dairy Division Managers; must be able to read maps, instructions, documentation, etc.; must have a valid driver’s license in compliance with all DOT regulations; must be forklift certified.
