Summary/Objective

Family-owned and operated for five generations, Stauffer Glove & Safety, a distributor leader in the safety and PPE products industry is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Red Hill, PA

Stauffer Glove & Safety is looking for a Warehouse Receiving Supervisor to join our team! This individual is self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a sense of urgency. This role operates in a warehouse environment, routinely using standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, and other material-handling tools.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Shift times are based on business needs and specific to each branch location.

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager responsible for staff training in accordance with the SOP requirements, competent in executing cycle count management and investigation to reconcile adjustments, monitor facility supplies of consumable materials and reorder as needed. Knowledgeable of all warehouse functions and processes, and active participant of daily activities. Provides oversight to warehouse activities in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. Position may have responsibility for direct reports and/or ADP approvals. The Warehouse Manager will identify direct reports based on the Supervisor's departmental competencies and skills.

Essential Functions

  • Manage and have knowledge of all receiving processes and system operations, attention to detail and accuracy of all work performed. Actively participate in duties.
  • Manage inventory placement and inventory identification, reconcile discrepancies, and insure movement of inventory is accurate and timely.
  • Provide clear and professional communications to staff and all levels of management, communicate professionally with all areas of the business. Frequent communications with Warehouse Manager on personnel and operational opportunities.
  • Receive direction from Warehouse Manager and insure requirements are followed through in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to by self and staff.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, safety ladders, material handling equipment, computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
  • The position requires that an individual can obtain a medical certification according to DOT regulations and must maintain the certification in order to perform the essential duties of this position.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 65lbs., climb ladders, and work on material handling equipment such as forklifts and other moving apparatus.
  • Work both in a controlled and uncontrolled temperature environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 
  • Some overtime as required that may include weekends

Travel

  • Limited travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum high school degree or GED equivalent. 3 to 5 years’ experience in an inventory and/or warehouse environment. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High school degree or GED equivalent. Associates degree or some college credits in a business curriculum. 5 + years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
