Description
Position Summary
The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees all day-to-day activities within the warehouse to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of inventory and fulfillment of customer orders. This role is responsible for managing people, processes, and systems to support the movement, storage, and shipment of consumer-packaged goods in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and direct all warehouse operations including receiving, (domestic and international), put-away, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage daily workflow to meet performance goals related to accuracy, timeliness, and productivity.
- Supervise and develop warehouse team members through coaching, performance feedback, and training.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, etc.).
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes to minimize shrink, damage, and errors.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and transportation teams to ensure timely fulfillment and replenishment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools to monitor inventory accuracy and operational metrics.
- Oversee efficient use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order picker lifts, and pallet jacks
- Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Assist with budgeting, staffing plans, and long-term warehouse strategy to support company growth.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of warehouse or distribution management experience.
- Proven track record of managing teams of 15+ employees’ operation.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics 365) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of supply chain, logistics, and inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, or move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs and operating warehouse equipment.

Work Environment
