Job Overview:

The Warehouse Material Coordinator is responsible for managing the accurate receipt, inspection, and allocation of materials and equipment within the warehouse to support manufacturing operations. This role works closely with the Dock Controller and Receiving Administrator to ensure all goods are properly checked, documented, and assigned to active projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and focused on maintaining inventory accuracy and stock availability to meet project requirements.

This role supports a plant with approximately 200 employees and is part of a $7.2 billion global manufacturing company.

Essential Job Functions
  • Check and verify all incoming goods against delivery paperwork and purchase orders.
  • Work closely with the Dock Controller to ensure all materials have proper documentation before being received.
  • Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, damage, or missing components.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving and coordinate with the Receiving Administrator for compliance.
  • Record data for incoming stock using manual logs or company inventory systems.
  • Organize and stage materials and equipment needed for each production or customer project.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and allocate materials to appropriate projects based on work orders.
  • Ensure materials are stored safely and labeled correctly in designated warehouse locations.
  • Assist with cycle counts and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Understand and follow material issues, receiving, and shipping procedures in the storeroom.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse or material coordination role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and ability to use handheld scanners or computer software.
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to complete company-provided training.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse conditions, including temperature variations and noise levels.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
    • Exposure to moving machinery, loud noise, and varying environmental conditions.
    • Required to follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
