Responsible for managing warehouse operations, material receiving processes, and operating cutting equipment to prepare raw materials for production. This dual role combines inventory management, logistics coordination, and hands-on material preparation to support efficient manufacturing operations
Warehouse Operations
Oversee material receiving, storage, and inventory management
Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with purchase orders
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts
Coordinate with suppliers for delivery scheduling and documentation
Manage material identification, labeling, and location tracking systems
Prepare material kits and coordinate distribution to production areas
Saw Operations & Material Preparation
Operate band saws and cut-off saws to prepare materials per work orders
Read and interpret cutting specifications and production requirements
Select appropriate cutting methods and maintain cutting equipment
Ensure proper material handling and safety procedures during operations
Coordinate cutting schedules with production planning priorities
Inventory & Documentation
Process receiving documentation and update inventory management systems
Handle material discrepancies and coordinate supplier issue resolution
Maintain material traceability and certification documentation
Generate inventory reports and coordinate with purchasing for replenishment
Ensure compliance with quality standards and material handling procedures
Safety & Supervision
Maintain OSHA compliance for warehouse and equipment operations
Train staff on safe material handling and equipment operation procedures
Conduct safety inspections and manage hazardous material storage
Supervise warehouse staff and coordinate daily work assignments
Education and experience
Technical Requirements
Experience:
Warehouse management and material cutting experience
Equipment:
Proficiency operating band saws, cut-off saws, and forklifts
Systems:
Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems
Materials:
Understanding of metal and industrial material properties
