Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager.


The Warehouse Manager will guide and oversee all warehousing operations for the McAllen, Texas Distribution Center, including shipping, inventory management, financial processes, WMS functionality, safety, personnel leadership, environmental compliance, and security. Drive continuous improvement across all functions while ensuring full adherence to Del Monte policies and procedures, including Quality, Food Safety Systems, FSMA requirements, and the current BRC Standards.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Manage all warehousing operations for the McAllen Distribution Center.

  • Developing and manage annual operating plans (P&L).
  • Define performance measures directly related to business operations and ensure accountability. 


Minimum Skills Required:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Warehouse/Logistics Operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain related field, preferred
  • Experience in computerized warehouse management and transportation management systems.
  • Understanding financial/accounting principles and operational budgeting.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing annual operating plans (P&L).
  • Ability to empower the workforce and build strong teams through hiring, developing, evaluating, training, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Proven ability to define performance measures directly related to business and hold people accountable for such.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build direct relationships with hourly and salaried team members.
  • Excellent customer service focus and results oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including SAP; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual Spanish, preferred
