The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for the leadership and performance of all warehouse, inventory control, kitting, receiving, shipping, and laydown yard operations. The role ensures company and customer-owned materials are properly controlled, stored, staged, and delivered to support manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.
Reporting to the Integrated Supply Chain Manager, this position leads approximately 75 employees and is responsible for the stewardship of inventory assets valued between $70 million and $100 million across two locations a multiple buildings.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and develop warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, Parts kitting , and yard personnel.
Establish a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Ensure staffing levels, organizational structure, and employee development support business requirements.
Promote employee engagement and retention through effective leadership and communication.
Collaborate with department leads to streamline delivery of goods to manufacturing teams
Maintain accurate control of company-owned and customer-supplied inventory.
Ensure effective inventory processes, transaction discipline, and material traceability.
Safeguard inventory assets through strong controls and accountability.
Support inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and continuous process improvement.
Ensure materials flow efficiently from receiving through storage, kitting, production support, and shipment.
Support manufacturing operations by ensuring material availability aligns with production schedules.
Drive improvements in warehouse organization, material presentation, and operational efficiency.
Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Planning teams to identify and eliminate material flow constraints.
Oversee the safe and effective operation of indoor warehouse facilities and outdoor laydown yards.
Ensure materials and equipment are properly stored, identified, protected, and accessible.
Maintain facility organization, housekeeping standards, and effective space utilization.
Ensure safe handling and movement of high-value, oversized, and customer-owned materials.
Accountable for the performance of receiving, shipping, inventory control, kitting, warehouse, and yard operations.
Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators.
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across all material handling and warehouse functions.
Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Promote safe material handling, lifting, storage, and transportation practices.
Ensure warehouse equipment, facilities, and work practices meet company safety expectations.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when required.
