Job Overview:

SUMMARY

Directs and coordinates warehousing activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Manages and coordinates warehousing and distribution of WIP, inventoried, and customer supplied parts for internal and external distribution.

· Leads Power Products distribution and shipment improvement efforts.

· Organizes, distributes, and maintains accuracy of ship loose pick lists in collaboration with Project Managers.

· Leads software improvement efforts for managing inventory locations.

· Schedules deliveries that ensure parts are distributed from Plant 6 on time.

· Manages customer shipments from Plant 6.

· Manages KPI performance for Plant 6.

· Identifies equipment needs.

· Leads, trains, schedules, and develops distribution team.

· Strategically organizes the storage and flow of product at Plant 6.

· Determines method of shipments.

· Maintains shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.

· Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations.

· Problem solves through collaboration.

· Conducts inventory cycle counts and reconciles discrepancies.

· Manages 6S efforts to maintain organization and cleanliness of plant 6.

· May load and unload material using forklift and/or cranes.

· Develop and maintain SOP for distribution and shipping activities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages distribution team at Plant 6. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience/training and a High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Manufacturing Software

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
