Majesty’s Animal Nutrition is a family-owned company that manufactures supplements and treats for companion animals. We are a growing manufacturing company looking for a dependable, hands-on Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fixing things, working with tools, solving problems, and keeping equipment and facilities running safely and efficiently. The Assistant Maintenance Technician will work closely with our Lead Maintenance Technician and support a variety of daily maintenance, repair, installation, and improvement projects.
The Assistant Maintenance Technician supports the Lead Maintenance Technician with daily maintenance tasks, equipment repairs, installations, inspections, and facility projects. This is a hands-on position that requires mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
Assist the Lead Maintenance Technician with daily maintenance tasks and projects.
Perform hands-on repairs, adjustments, installations, and general maintenance.
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, production equipment, and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and help identify the cause of breakdowns.
Replace worn, damaged, or unsafe parts and components.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly.
Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
Help production employees with proper equipment care and upkeep.
Assist with facility maintenance and improvement projects as needed.
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
Follow equipment manuals, instructions, and established maintenance procedures.
Report equipment issues, safety hazards, and needed repairs to the appropriate manager.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Required:
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, instructions, and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively with the maintenance and production teams.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
Previous maintenance, mechanical, handyman, or equipment repair experience.
Two years of maintenance or industrial equipment experience.
Experience working with packaging or production equipment.
Experience with preventative maintenance.
Ability to read basic schematics or wiring diagrams.
Basic computer skills for maintenance records and documentation.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
This position requires the ability to:
Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb as needed.
Lift, carry, and handle parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work in tight, confined, or elevated areas.
Maintain balance and coordination while working around or on machinery.
