Job Overview:
**Responsibilities:
**
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions (such as Operation Method Sheets and Sequence of Events), assembly drawings, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates, fixtures, or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Test Symbotic electromechanical subassemblies for functionality and/or quality
- Possess the ability to train contractors in all aspects of the required role
- Work well in small groups
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or product when necessary
- Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
**Qualifications:
**
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-4 years of previous experience in the Machine Shop or Manufacturing Assembly Environment.
- Computer knowledge using Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Word & Excel
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Able to lift 60 pounds and can stand for long periods of time.
- Possess an understanding of various types of mechanical and/or electrical test equipment.
- Possess the ability to train contractors in all aspects of the required role
- Ability to handle multiple task
- Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated
- Hands-on skill set required; ready to learn, absorb, and utilize information in a fast-paced environment.
