Job Overview:

Warehouse Lead- 2nd Shift

**Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-12am

**

**JOB SUMMARY:

**Performs general warehouse duties and, in the absence of Plant Manager and Office Coordinator, provides on-the-job work direction to Warehouse Workers. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONIBILITIES:

  • Performs all duties of a fully trained warehouse working in addition to providing periodic inspections of the quality and quantity of work performed within the warehouse area. 

  • Obtains daily production requirements from Plant Manager, reviewing such schedules as necessary to ensure familiarity with such requirements. 

  • May assign tasks to warehouse workers to most effectively utilize their experience and training. 

  • May train new workers and work with them develop a high level of skill and job proficiency. 

  • Ensures that warehouse workers perform duties in a manner consistent with all standard safety policies. 

  • Makes decisions regarding the receipt of inbound and outbound of shipment products in order to efficiently facilitate product flow. 

  • Compares tallies of product to the received to the receiving manifest in order to ensure accuracy. 

  • Ensures temperatures of received product have been recorded per orders

  • Promptly notes any damaged product and investigates cause of damage. 

  • Records package dimensions and package net-weight on all new products received.

  • Record all overtime performed by personnel as requested by customers. 

  • Prepares inbound paperwork with assigned aisle and rack locations for specific lots and thereby ensuring proper placement of product in warehouse. 

  • Processes shipping documents 

**EDUCATION:

**

  • Highschool Education or equivalent

  • Forklift Operator Certification. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years. Past experience in a refrigerated warehouse environment is desirable.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with personal computers and material handling equipment is essential. CRT, RF scanners, telephone, keyboard, general office equipment. All product, material handling forms, bill of ladings, manifest, freight bills, shipping orders, computer reports.
