Job Overview:

Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator

** THIS IS THE JOB**

Most warehouse jobs treat you like a pair of hands. Scan it, shelf it, forget it. Nobody explains where the material is going, nobody notices when you catch a short shipment, and nobody asks what you would fix if it were yours to fix.

This one is different. At Airlogix the warehouse is the front end of every service call. A technician who rolls out without the right part is a client sitting in a hot building, a walk-in climbing out of temperature, or a kitchen that cannot open. Receiving accuracy, stock discipline, and truck readiness are not back office tasks here. They are operational work, and they protect revenue.

You will run the dock, the shelves, and the floor. If it comes in the door, goes out the door, or sits on a shelf in Astoria, you own it.

** AT A GLANCE**

Location

24-26 46th Street, Astoria, NY 11103. On site, five days a week.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 1st shift.

Compensation

$24 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.

Type

Full-time, non-exempt, warehouse operations.

What you run

Over $2.5 million in inventory supporting up to 40 technicians and 40 fleet vehicles.

Systems

ServiceTrade and Google Workspace.

** WHAT YOU'LL OWN**

Receiving and Verification

  • Receive every inbound shipment against the order. Count it, inspect it, and confirm it before you sign for it.

  • Catch short shipments, wrong material, and freight damage on the dock, not three weeks later when a tech needs the part.

  • Log received material in ServiceTrade the same day so stock levels reflect what is actually on the shelf.

  • Put material away to a fixed, labeled location so anybody can find it without asking you.

Stock Control and Truck Readiness

  • Pull, stage, and kit parts, tools, and equipment by job so crews load fast and roll on time.

  • Track what leaves the building and who took it. No material walks out unrecorded.

  • Run cycle counts, investigate variances, and correct the count instead of explaining it.

  • Replenish truck stock and flag reorder triggers to the purchasing side before a shortage becomes a callback.

Shipping, Returns, and the Floor

  • Process outbound shipments, vendor pickups, warranty claims, and core returns through to closure.

  • Keep bins labeled, aisles clear, and the layout built around what actually moves.

  • Support fleet and equipment tracking, including tools assigned out and due back.

  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Lift and move material up to 50 pounds.

  • Hold the warehouse in a clean, safe, walk-in-ready condition every day, not just before a visit.

** WHAT AIRLOGIX BRINGS**

Airlogix is a second-generation family-owned commercial HVAC-R company with over 40 years in the trade, serving the five boroughs, Long Island, New Jersey, and Westchester.

  • Real volume and real scope. This is a working commercial warehouse, not a supply closet.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401(k) with company match.

  • Paid time off and paid holidays.

  • Company uniforms.

  • Ongoing training, and exposure to inventory systems, logistics, fleet support, and warehouse optimization.

  • A path into operations for the person who proves they can run this without being managed.

** WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**

  • 3 to 5 years in warehouse, receiving, inventory, or distribution operations preferred.

  • Receiving discipline: verify against the order, document the exception, close the loop the same day.

  • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

  • Comfort learning operational software. ServiceTrade and Google Workspace are used daily.

  • The ability to work independently, set your own priorities, and finish what you start without a supervisor standing there.

  • Steady communication with technicians, drivers, vendors, and office staff, including the ones who are in a hurry and not in a good mood.

  • Physical capability for warehouse work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Hungry, humble, and smart, with the character to do it right when nobody is checking. Service, Solutions, Integrity, Character, Legacy.

** HEARD FROM THE FIELD**

“When the warehouse is right, my day is right. I load, I roll, I hit my calls. When it is wrong, I am burning an hour in traffic chasing a part I should have had at six in the morning.”

Service Technician, Airlogix

“Inventory accuracy is won or lost at the dock. Everything downstream depends on whether the person receiving did the count and did it honestly.”

Operations, Airlogix
