**Warehouse Associate/Wire Cutter

**Pay: *90 day temp to hire pay:* $19-$21/hr

Schedule**: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals of Denton County is seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse Associate with wire cutting experience to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, assembling, packing, and shipping wire and electrical products while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
• Proven wire cutting experience required
• Strong knowledge of different types of wire
• Experience using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Ability to operate Sit‑Down and Stand‑Up Forklifts
• Work boots required
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and spool wire materials according to order specifications
• Assemble and fill wire cut orders for shipment to customers or internal divisions
• Verify wire quantities, descriptions, and order accuracy prior to shipment
• Pack, tag, and stage wire cuts according to truck routes
• Assemble customer orders for shipment via UPS and LTL carriers
• Load and unload common carriers and company vehicles
• Process shipping paperwork including invoices, BOLs, labeling, postage, and insurance when needed
• Count, verify, and document merchandise quantities on invoices
• Organize packed orders onto shelves or staging lanes by route
• Use RF scanners for order picking and material put‑away after receipt
• Assist or substitute for other warehouse personnel as needed
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications

• General knowledge of electrical products
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent attendance record
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and order verification
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts
