Job summary/Objective of Job

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving and verifying inventory items by purchase order and putting goods away to a designated warehouse location. A successful candidate must have outstanding customer service skills and a positive can-do attitude. They also must be a self-motivated, self-directed team player with social interaction skills, great attention to detail, can follow processes and work well within guidelines and procedures.

 Summary of essential job functions:

  • Check all incoming shipments for accuracy, both in item type and quantity listed
  • Verify and close outpurchaseorders iniTracksystem once verified
  • Assign received items todesignatedlocations in warehouse and document location on boxes, as necessary
  • Deliver all items todesignatedwarehouse locations and put them awaytimely
  • Investigate receiving discrepancies, including over- and under-shipments, incorrect quantities and part numbers, and partner with Purchasing todeterminecourse of action to correct
  • Own and execute the short-sheet process for production
  • Monitor and resolveissues in the OnBase platform

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Support leaders at Warehouse parts counter to ensure incorrectly pulled inventory is returned to proper location
  • Empty cardboard and trash for area, when needed
  • Build kits for production, when necessary
  • Support other team members of the warehouse during times of absence or business spikes

Qualifications 

  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Accuracy in a fast-paced environmentrequired
  • Dependability; can be counted on to be at work everyscheduled day
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Ability to break through barriers and investigate and resolve problems
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Ability tolift 50 lbs. or more
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain
