What You'll do
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for safely moving, handling, and preparing materials for customer shipments. This role includes picking, packing, verifying sales orders, and preparing Less Than Truckload (LTL) and ground shipments while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with company safety standards.
- Material Handling
- Transport materials, products, and equipment throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage customer orders for Less Than Truckload (LTL) and ground shipments based on daily sales orders.
- Verify material labels, quantities, and product condition to ensure shipment accuracy and quality.
- Inventory Management:
- Record material movements in the warehouse management system (WMS) and Inventory stock reports.
- Assist with regular cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies.
- Store materials in designated locations to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to support daily operations and meet shipping deadlines.
- Communicate material shortages, delays, or other issues to the appropriate team members.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Safely operate material-handling equipment and promptly report malfunctions or hazards.
- Maintain compliance with workplace and industry regulations regarding material handling and storage.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Complete transfer logs, shipping manifests, and other required documentation accurately.
- Assist with inventory reporting and identify opportunities for process improvements.

What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience is preferred.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems are preferred.
- Basic math skills.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent lifting of materials up to 75 pounds, repetitive bending and reaching, and safely operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
