Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our client's warehouse operations team in Torrington, CT. This is a great opportunity to work for a local family business with room for growth within other departments, including value-added product customization using computer controlled machines. The ideal candidate will have a stable work history, 2-3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment, computer proficiency, and a valid CT drivers license. Previous experience driving a small box truck or commercial van is preferred. Forklift experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse:

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
• Use warehouse management systems and basic computer programs for data entry and tracking
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain

Deliveries:

• Safely operate small box truck or van to make regional deliveries (valid CT driver's license and clean driving record required)

Product Customization

• Ability to be trained on computer controlled machines (eg laser cutters) used to customize products per customer specifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Prior experience driving a small box truck preferred
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., data entry, inventory systems, email, and Microsoft Office)
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Familiarity with inventory management or warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Basic mechanical or equipment troubleshooting skills
