Job Overview:

The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.  

 

We are looking for a Warehouse and Facilities Supervisor to plan, organize, and supervise container inventories (bins, drums, pallets), maintenance and repair of warehouses and bulk storage grounds. Oversees grounds operations to include scheduling and monitoring bin, drum and pallet management and supports management of fleet and rental equipment. This leader will be responsible for supporting other warehouse operations to include inventory management and shipping activities at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervises and controls incoming shipping activity for bins, bin part returns, and pallets (Reg/HT). 
  • Coordinates placement and movement of bulk containers (bins, bin parts, drums and pallets). 
  • Maintains and periodically reports physical inventory accuracy for bin parts, drums, and pallets. 
  • Verifies that headcount and staffing is appropriate for the shift.
  • Supervises and directs personnel, including forklift operators, leads, and general labor.

 

Requirements: 

  • Associate’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Project Management, or related discipline; Bachelor’s degree preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • 2 years’ experience in materials and inventory management control.
  • Proficient in warehouse systems technology and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively supervise and communicate to employees.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, credit screen, and to work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

 

Compensation: 

The salary range is $68,640 - $75,000, based on experience and qualifications.
