Location: Carolina Egg, Nashville, NC
Position Summary: The Warehouse Associate processes all orders for shipping. Supply production floor with packaging materials and palletizes egg cases.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may apply or be assigned.
· This position is a support position for the shipping orders.
· Preparing orders for shipment. Loading outbound trailers with product.
· Verifying orders and bills of lading.
· Load finished material onto pallets and wrap
· Move full pallets of finished product to warehouse.
· Maintaining warehouse equipment organization and cleanliness
· Other responsibilities as directed by shift warehouse leader
· Driving SQF compliance
· Helps drive all of BFF’s Environment Management Systems (EMS) in an impactful manner to include: monitoring/reducing operationally-related negative effects on the environment as well as pollution prevention.
Competencies:
1. Safety- To ensure all safety standards are met and followed to the fullest. Must be alert at all times and use best common judgement.
2. Housekeeping-To ensure that all work areas are maintained - clean and litter free at all times… i.e. sweeping, dusting and debris removal are all mandatory parts of housekeeping.
3. Security- To ensure that the site is secure at all times, i.e. checking all access doors and making sure they are closed at all times. Question, control and report people who do not belong at the processing centers.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to multi-task, have good math skills, good attendance and attitude. Ability to bend, lift 40 to 60 lbs., twist and walk for most of the shift. Must have the ability to successfully pass a background check, drug test and physical as a condition of employment. Must pass forklift certification and operate forklift safely.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information ion one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
