Job Overview:

Set the Standard. Lead the Network. Own the Outcome.

At GTC, quality isn’t a site-level function — it’s an enterprise commitment. The Vice President of Quality is the executive who owns that commitment across every facility, every certification, every customer relationship, and every person on the quality team. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, you’ll set the QMS strategy, lead site quality leadership across the network, and build the kind of unified quality culture that makes GTC increasingly formidable with every program we win.

This is an executive role with real scope — multi-site QMS governance, AS9100/ISO 9001 Management Representative responsibilities, major customer and regulatory relationships, budget ownership, and a succession pipeline to build. If you’re a quality executive who thinks at the enterprise level and leads with both strategic clarity and floor-level credibility, this is the seat built for you.

This position is eligible for GTC’s Management Incentive Bonus Plan — because executives who drive enterprise-wide quality performance and support business growth should share directly in the results they create. And through our Ownership For All program, that philosophy runs even deeper. Every eligible full-time employee receives an ownership stake in GTC. From day one, you’re not just joining the executive team. You’re becoming an owner. Your wins aren’t just good for the company. They’re good for you.

What You’ll Do

Quality Management System

  • Establish and govern a common QMS framework across all GTC sites — ensuring compliance with all certification standards while accommodating site-specific requirements
  • Oversee all QMS changes and improvements enterprise-wide, enforcing procedural disciplines that keep every facility consistent with customer and industry requirements
  • Develop enterprise quality performance measurements, cost-of-quality metrics, and a standardized CAPA system that drives real reduction in repeat non-conformances across the network
  • Lead and organize AS9100 and ISO 9001 certification and surveillance audits across all sites; drive every finding to closure with the certification body
  • Serve as the executive Management Representative for all AS9100/ISO 9001 activities across the enterprise
  • Oversee all AS13100 activities across the network, including self-assessments and customer audits
  • Communicate policy changes, program updates, and quality performance data clearly to employees and leadership at every site

Leadership

  • Provide executive quality leadership across all sites — keeping morale high, engagement strong, and the quality organization performing at the level GTC’s programs demand
  • Develop and own the enterprise quality strategy and vision, ensuring alignment with company direction and customer and regulatory expectations at every facility
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the network using data, analytics, and a relentless focus on reducing defects and variation
  • Build, implement, and manage standardized quality education and awareness programs across every level of the organization and every site
  • Own the enterprise quality budget and resource allocation — prioritizing investment in people, systems, and equipment to support quality goals and business growth
  • Champion enterprise-wide adoption of quality data systems that give leadership real-time visibility into performance across all facilities
  • Serve as the executive-level point of contact for major customer and regulatory relationships — representing GTC’s quality commitment at the highest level
  • Lead recruiting, development, and succession planning for site quality leadership across the network — building the bench that sustains our growth
  • Represent GTC with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity in every interaction with customers, suppliers, auditors, and regulatory agencies

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ASQ CMQ/OE, or equivalent industrial recognition; CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt is a meaningful plus
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in QA systems development, implementation, and management — with at least seven years in a senior or executive quality leadership role in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace, defense, or contract manufacturing
  • At least five years of experience leading quality across multiple manufacturing sites or a plant network, with demonstrated ability to standardize QMS practices enterprise-wide
  • Seven or more years of successful team building and facilitation across geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience owning a quality budget and carrying P&L accountability across a multi-site organization
  • Deep command of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS13100, and the audit and certification processes that govern defense and aerospace manufacturing
  • Executive-level communication skills — you present to boards and senior leadership with confidence and clarity, and you build trust on the shop floor with equal ease
  • A demonstrated track record of driving measurable, sustained quality improvement across complex manufacturing organizations
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented leadership style that builds alignment across sites, earns followership, and models the culture you’re asking others to build
  • U.S. citizenship required

Why GTC

An executive quality role with true enterprise scope — you’ll own the QMS, the culture, the certifications, the budget, and the team across the entire GTC network. A direct reporting line to the President and a genuine seat at the table where the company’s strategic decisions are made. A Management Incentive Bonus Plan that ties your compensation to the enterprise performance you drive. A company that has built quality into its identity and is investing in the leadership to scale it. And through Ownership For All, a real ownership stake in the organization you’re leading. From day one, you’re not just the VP of Quality here. You’re an owner.
