Position Summary
We are seeking a national production scheduling lead to drive the evolution of scheduling capabilities across our organization. This role will initially focus on the Pressure Division, with the broader objective of establishing standardized scheduling processes and systems across both the Pipe and Precast divisions. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in modern production scheduling methodologies and tools and will play a key role in transitioning the organization from spreadsheet-based practices to a more integrated, data-driven planning environment. This role requires both hands-on execution and strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities – Scheduling Execution & Ownership (Pressure Division)
Develop, manage, and continuously refine detailed production schedules for Pressure Pipe operations
Balance demand, capacity, labor, and material constraints to optimize throughput and delivery performance
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules dynamically
Enterprise Scheduling Leadership (Pipe & Precast Expansion)
Establish consistent scheduling standards and best practices across Pipe and Precast divisions
Act as the central authority on scheduling methods across the organization
Drive alignment between divisions to improve coordination and resource utilization
Systems Modernization
Evaluate current scheduling tools, ERP capabilities, and manual processes
Identify and recommend best-in-class scheduling systems
Lead or support implementation of modern scheduling platforms
Transition the organization away from Excel-dependent scheduling
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with Production, Project Management, Engineering, and Purchasing
Improve communication between departments
Ensure schedules reflect material availability and project priorities
Capacity Planning & Optimization
Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints
Develop scenario-based planning models
Improve efficiency through better sequencing and load balancing
Data, Reporting & Visibility
Maintain accurate scheduling data within ERP systems
Develop reporting dashboards (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Communicate risks, delays, and mitigation strategies
Required Qualifications
5–10+ years of production scheduling or manufacturing planning experience in heavy manufacturing
Experience improving or implementing scheduling systems and processes
Understanding of modern scheduling tools and methodologies
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Infor, etc.)
Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pipe, precast, steel, concrete, or infrastructure products
Familiarity with APS tools
Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
