Our client is seeking experienced Valve Technicians to support repair, maintenance, and testing operations within refinery and industrial plant environments. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who is comfortable working both in the shop and in the field during plant turnarounds and service calls.
This is a hands-on position requiring strong troubleshooting ability, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in industrial environments.

**6am-4:30pm (some overtime may be required)
Pay:
$18.00-25.00/hr DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and service relief valves, control valves, and manual valves from teardown through final testing
- Perform valve disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, reassembly, and calibration
- Conduct field service work, including on-site repair and testing during plant turnarounds and outages
- Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical documents
- Operate auxiliary testing equipment and tools safely and accurately
- Coordinate job setup, scheduling, and follow-up activities
- Communicate professionally with customers and plant personnel on job progress and technical issues
- Operate company vehicles and equipment responsibly
- Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for emergency service support
- Maintain strong safety practices and comply with all plant and company procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of valve technician or related mechanical experience in refinery, petrochemical, power generation, or industrial plant environments
- Experience working turnarounds/shutdowns in refinery or plant settings strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
- Ability to disassemble and rebuild valves independently
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass physical, drug screen, and random testing requirements
- Comfortable with travel and overnight stays as needed (approximately 50% travel)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety awareness
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency required
- High School Diploma or GED required

- Machining experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Power generation or petrochemical maintenance background
