The Role

Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house technical training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare training programs; prepares instructional materials; develops course content; determines training methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.

Conducts classroom and hands-on training sessions, develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities, and continuously updates lesson plans to meet evolving technical and operational requirements. May work alongside technical subject matter experts to deliver specialized instruction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of professional exempt experience, or
  • Master's Degree and 4 years of professional exempt experience.

The following may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree:

  • Completion of a recognized skilled trades apprenticeship program.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of combined manufacturing, industrial, trades, military, or other relevant non-exempt experience.
  • Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School.

In addition, 6 years of relevant manufacturing, industrial trades, or military experience may be used as an equivalent to the required exempt experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical facilities experience.
  • Shipboard or submarine electrical testing experience.
  • Shipboard electrical deck experience.
