SUMMARY
Assists management in coordinating activities of production workers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists with audits of products to verify conformance to specifications and performs daily Preventive Maintenance (PM's) on equipment.
Assists with interpreting specifications and job orders to workers and assigning duties.
Communicates adjustments to work procedures to employees to meet production schedules.
Assists with implementing new procedures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Assists with implementing changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Assists workers in solving work problems.
Assists in implementing plans to create positive motivation to achieve work goals.
Conducts department meetings.
Performs work assignments of absent employees.
Assists with completing requisitions (purchasing, maintenance) and inspects accuracy of materials received.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Provides feedback about employee performance to the lead person/supervisor.
Assists with training.
Pulling parts order, receive return to stock from production, put (away) operating the supermarket function.
Fill bin locations for the supermarket.
Perform cycle counts, maintaining inventory accuracy upon pulling parts orders and supermarket parts.
Ability to operate electric devices, and computers.
Must be forklift certified.
Ability to maintain 5S and lean practices.
Ability to multi-task and be a team player.
Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
Responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the MMOG, QS 9000 and ISO 14001 systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists employees on third shift.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two (2) to three (3) years experience in automatic transmission repair facility or related experience and/or automatic transmission training from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Computer literate. Will need to become proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and time keeping software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
