Schedule:                                       Sunday-Thursday, 11PM-7AM


Job Summary: 

As a UtilityTechnician you will be responsible for efficiently cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment and different areas of the plant. If you like to work in a fast paced environment and be part of a team this might be the perfect job for you.

Essential Job Functions: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Managing the routine cleaning of walls, floors, tracks, overhead piping, valves and other equipment
  • Ability to tear down and reassemble production line machines
  • Disassemble and clean floor drains, inside and outside of tanks and vats
  • Assist with ATP swabs
  • Assists in all State and/or Federal inspections
  • Maintains proper documentation including sanitation checklists and forms
  • Communicate with Sanitation Supervisor in regard to progress on project status and completion
  • Communicate with other departments in regard to their work schedules and the sanitation schedule
  • Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision making ability, as needed
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn
  • Other duties as assigned or required
  • Machine operator experience preferred, but not required

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Sanitation Department in a food processing facility or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of CIP (Clean-In-Place), COP (Clean-Out-Of-Place), equipment and facility cleaning procedures preferred but not required 
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and be on call as needed
