Job Overview:

Job Details:

This position is responsible for maintaining product flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Internal Job Description

Starting pay rate: $16.90/hour

Schedule: 1st shift: Monday - Friday (6:00 AM to production end)

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of work as needed when there are open positions within the facility due to absenteeism, vacation, tm's needing to use the rest room, etc. Other responsibilities include communicating with management and co-workers and processing paperwork necessary to position.

This position will be exposed to a cold work environment with temperatures ranging from -10 to 55 degrees in the production area to an environment that is tied to what the weather outside is (rain, heat, cold, insects) , wet conditions, slippery floors in some areas, concrete floors and noise levels that are loud enough to require hearing protection.

  • Must be willing to lift, push, pull up to 95 lbs and stand for up to 8 to 12 hours.

  • Must be willing to operate equipment necessary to all positions in the production area (forklift, votator, box fill, box machine, raker, floor support, data collector, high pressure wand, etc).

  • Must be able to drive the forklift within 4 weeks in the plant in all areas.

  • Must be willing to learn shipping process of short weights computer work and talking on a radio to truck drivers when filling in.

  • Must be willing to learn EIM, computer, inventory.

Rehire Criteria: This facility does accept rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than 2 previous times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
