JOB DESCRIPTION: The Utility Assembler Level I performs a wide variety of basic tasks in their home cost-center. They are also required to perform basic tasks in other cost centers as needed to support business demands. Tasks include, but are not limited to: folding, assembling and packing various components into boxes or other containers, forming and packing cartons or product trays, assembling and packing of molded components, inspecting and collating games or puzzles. Level I Assemblers should be able to identify defective components or product. Position requires employees to perform limited material handling duties as needed. Assemblers must maintain productivity, safety and quality standards. They may be required to train other employees. They must keep a clean, organized and safe work area. Assemblers may perform other appropriate work within the plant. Progression: This is an introductory level intended for employees with no prior manufacturing experience. Level I Assemblers will learn and perform Level 2 tasks as part of their progression to the next level. Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs and/or other operational strategies.
