As a Maintenance Generalist, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Shifts: Shifts A and B

Pay Level Range: Starting at $28.05 to $40.10.

Applicants will be considered for, General Maintenance level openings.

Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include, but are not limited to the following)

Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance and Reliability in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Must have electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience documented on the work history section of the application or in the resume, or be a graduate of a 2-year industrial maintenance training program (vocational or trade school)

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
Frequent overhead work.
Temperatures inside the plant may vary from 20 degrees to 36 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
