What you'll do...
Operational Excellence: Evaluates relevant industry practices from an operations perspective. Resolves obstacles to goals of several organizational functions. Advises others to carry out responsibilities based on understanding of key organizational functions. Designs awareness programs for multi and cross-functional issues of the regulatory environment. Facilitates interrelationships between major functions and subfunctions. Recommends efficiencies in operational functions and One Best Way documentation wherever possible. Monitors organizational compliance with policies and procedures. Facilitates communications across departments to ensure a smooth workflow in the facility and related partner functions. Applies regulatory programs as needed to comply with major products, processes, or business areas. Provides recommendations and solutions to existing and potential legal or regulatory problems.
Vendor Management: Evaluates issues and terminates vendor relationships as appropriate. Works with Legal. Develops quality standards and controls for vendor selection. Ensures the fulfillment of report and recordkeeping requirements. Monitors supplier performance. Resolves discrepancies between performance and agreements. Builds and maintains partnerships with multiple and/or large vendors. Facilitates supplier partnering arrangements that share risks and rewards.
Reliability Management: Monitors standard operations in hardware product reliability quality assurance programs. Guides others in product redesign and feature changes to improve product performance and reliability. Directs the collection of information on product failures and uses the information to redesign or enhance products. Consults on the definition of success for hardware products and reliability tests. Designs evaluation metrics to assess reliability improvement plans and programs for hardware products. Applies probability and statistical measures to assess products and estimate and monitor reliability.
Contracts Management and Administration: Explains the types of contract information required before a contract is signed. Assists in creating files of relevant information for specific vendors, customers, or contracts. Implements organizational protocols and procedures for contract management. Reviews contracts to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulations. Administers locally relevant contracts for the department.
Budgeting: Evaluates past business decisions and associated budgetary considerations and impacts. Compares planned budgets versus actual expenditures and identifies, reports, and explains variances. Participates in developing budget adjustment procedures and practices. Develops and manages large and important budgets. Uses Walmart's preferred budgeting software tools. Works with business managers to create appropriate budget amounts. Designs, prepares, summarizes, and presents expense management reports. Utilizes a number of diverse expense management tools and methods.
Data and Digital Literacy: Leverages data analysis tools to explore highly complex data, develops and tests hypotheses, uses data to influence strategic work, and builds and presents insights. Identifies, implements, and drives technology change within scope of work. Uses visualization tools to represent data and construct coherent stories to influence decisions.
Business Acumen: Develops, evaluates, and implements proposed business cases for projects and initiatives. Influences business stakeholder decision-making. Translates business requirements into strategies, initiatives, and projects, aligns them to business objectives, and drives the execution of deliverables. Demonstrates expertise of multiple business units/organizations being supported. Builds and articulates the business case and return on investment and delivers work that has demonstrable value. Challenges business assumptions on topics related to assigned domain expertise. Develops new, organization-wide processes and ways of working. Teaches and guides others on best practices. Proactively engages in the external community to build Walmart's brand and learn more about industry practices.
Influential Communication: Leads discussions with varying viewpoints. Presents to and influences diverse audiences across divisions using appropriate frameworks/tools. Leverages fact-based data and analytics insights from multiple finance and business domains to build a cohesive narrative, form an argument, organize thoughts, and present in a clear, concise, and meaningful way. Demonstrates decision and coordination skills when faced with conflicting or ambiguous inputs. Acts as a trusted advisor to diverse business partners, influencing them to act as needed to move the business forward. Provides timely feedback to others. Seeks, internalizes, and utilizes feedback to make changes.
Business Process Improvement: Participates in defining organizational strategic goals and purposes. Defines how to gather and keep customers. Analyzes business processes, identifies alternative solutions to outdated processes, and assesses feasibility. Establishes requirements for large changes in the overall mission, roles, responsibilities, and processes necessary to make business improvements. Evaluates financial, cultural, technological, and other factors to address. Recommends new approaches that use advanced technology. Works to overcome Business Process Improvement resistance from managers, the labor force, and other groups.
Technical Acumen: Uses advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems. Evaluates business impacts of failures and the criticality and timing of resolutions. Monitors machine performance and history. Addresses excessive maintenance or repair needs. Resolves difficult or high-impact equipment and systems problems. Coaches others to resolve integration or communications problems in a multivendor environment. Applies specific techniques for isolating a problem and defining resolution approaches. Supports and participates in major installations and customizations. Provides recommendations and documentation to field support on technical and equipment issues. Collects, documents, and maintains equipment configuration requirements and instances. Demonstrates knowledge of all technical and components of facility equipment.
Crisis Management: Determines the severity of crises and initiates appropriate response actions. Identifies signs of an impending crisis. Proactively plans and prepares for major business crises. Reviews crisis management and disaster recovery plans for currency, adequacy, and validity. Appoints individuals to crisis response teams and trains team members in response tasks. Calculates the financial impact of crises.
Quality Assurance: Interprets quality assurance failures, analyzes underlying causes, and estimates associated costs. Implements quality assurance processes for multiple hardware products. Oversees the activities and documentation associated with the preparation, administration, validation, and publications of quality assurance audits. Advises others on the strengths and weaknesses of alternative quality assurance methodologies. Conducts and directs quality reviews and audits. Consults on the optimal matching of quality assurance tools to specific products or product groups.
Software Product Testing: Participates in test readiness reviews and functional, volume, and load testing. Tests software components for compliance with functional requirements and design specifications. Explains procedures for documenting test activities and results (for example, errors, nonconformance). Describes key features and aspects of a specific testing discipline or methodology. Conducts functional and performance testing on aspects of assigned products.
Partnership and Collaboration: Engages with team members on a periodic basis and establishes credibility. Analyzes stakeholder needs and partners with stakeholders to share relevant information. Responds effectively and efficiently to requests. Takes a "one team" approach to collaborate and accomplish goals for the business.
Change Management: Introduces change initiatives that target the improvement of significant organizational capabilities. Focuses on the impact of changes on key business issues. Recruits change team members and supporters to improve project success. Secures feedback regarding program success. Coaches others to develop stronger change management skills and greater comfort with change. Implements strategies for renewing or deepening change efforts.
Electrical Design: Monitors the design, installation, and testing of electrical systems in machines used for supply chain processes. Recommends improvements to quality inspection procedures for existing electrical systems. Demonstrates expertise in wiring schematics, ensuring and driving innovation in systems and compliance. Adheres to electrical safety practices to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements. Coordinates between multiple electrical systems, equipment, and component inspection activities. Ensures work adheres to specifications. Works with various I/O device in order to control conveyor logic (for example, gapping, sorting, diverting).
Procurement: Selects appropriate qualified suppliers and negotiates related contracts. Coordinates the procurement of a variety of products, materials, and services. Monitors the effectiveness of procurement policies in high-cost or critical-path purchases. Compares and contrasts alternative sourcing strategies (for example, sole sourcing, reverse auctions). Develops alternative sources of supply for the manufacturing organization. Assists in creating contingency plans for and with critical suppliers.
Data Analytics and Insights: Applies advanced analytics techniques (for example, statistics, time series analysis, optimization and simulation) to deploy appropriate models for analysis and prediction. Analyzes information to draw out patterns and relevant insights for customers. Leverages data to take real-time decisions and provide data-led actionable insights for businesses and proactively identify/mitigate risks. Develops new visualization solutions and advanced dashboards. Builds compelling stories based on analysis to integrate multiple pieces of information into cohesive insights. Presents to internal and external stakeholders using appropriate frameworks and conveys clear messages through deep business and stakeholder understanding.
Negotiation: Conduct negotiations for the business area. Assesses and leads fact-based decisions in high-risk situations and educates others on negotiation strategies. Mitigates and resolves disagreements by anticipating objections and adjusting negotiating approaches. Adheres to and coaches others on company and regulatory retailer supplier relationship processes, values, and policies. Mitigates risks through due diligence. Seeks guidance on and escalates complex legal and/or regulatory issues as necessary.
Project Delivery: Monitors progress and generates project variance analysis reports. Implements planned and ad-hoc communications to and from affected parties. Ensures project problems are surfaced and reported to appropriate project personnel. Reports dependencies, conflicts, and completion date status to project management teams. Develops cost-benefit analysis. Tracks and reviews actual costs versus planned. Assesses and leads fact-based decisions in high-risk situations and educates others on changes in strategy. Mitigates and resolves disagreements by anticipating objections and adjusting approaches. Creates monitoring and control mechanisms that allows the team to perform adaptive planning and continuous improvement and encourages rapid iterations and flexible responses to change.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
