Position Summary...
This role oversees multiple regional distribution centers to ensure the quality, freshness, and food safety of grocery products. The position leads quality assurance execution across facilities by enforcing Walmart quality standards, ensuring supplier compliance, managing cold chain integrity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The role also owns the development and optimization of meat quality assurance programs, partners closely with suppliers and external manufacturers, and leads teams to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across the supply chain.

- Oversee quality, freshness, and food safety execution across multiple distribution centers within a region.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce quality control policies and inspection standards to ensure consistent execution.
- Train and calibrate quality inspection practices with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
- Inspect supplier execution of Walmart quality standards, including cutting, styling, packaging, and labeling.
- Review supplier performance in real time on production lines and stop production when necessary to address quality issues.
- Ensure suppliers take corrective actions and track resolution through inspection data and reporting.
- Manage cold chain compliance across storage and shipping processes to maintain product integrity throughout the supply chain.
- Partner with suppliers and external manufacturers to analyze data, identify process gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct facility audits, proactively identify risk areas, and lead preventative action planning.
- Lead the development and optimization of meat quality assurance programs by researching industry standards and implementing best practices.
- Analyze inspection and quality data to identify trends, concerns, and process gaps; recommend solutions to senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
- Drive execution of multiple business plans and projects by setting priorities, removing obstacles, measuring performance, and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Lead, develop, and mentor associates by setting expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive team environment.
What you'll bring...
- Proven experience in quality assurance, food safety, or supplier quality management within grocery, meat, or food manufacturing/distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection methodologies, cold chain management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience partnering with suppliers and external manufacturers to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze quality and inspection data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Experience leading large‑scale, multi‑facility initiatives or regional operations.
- Strong project and business plan execution skills, including prioritization, performance measurement, and adaptability.
- Effective leadership capabilities with experience hiring, developing, and leading teams.
- Strong communication skills to influence suppliers, cross‑functional partners, and senior leadership.
- A proactive, risk‑based mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and drive preventative solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $156,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
