What you'll do...
As the Senior Manager, Automation Engineering – Support & Change Management at Walmart, you will lead the automation support and change management efforts critical to scaling automation systems that are transforming online store fulfillment. Your work will directly shape how Walmart fulfills customer orders faster, more efficiently, and at scale.
You will serve as a senior technical leader – responsible for developing robust automation support models and mechanisms, driving change management initiatives, and ensuring seamless adoption of new technologies and processes in live operations. The role partners closely with Integration, Engineering, Operations, Operations Support, Product, and Vendors to prepare facilities and teams for automation go-lives.
This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas. A full relocation package may be available; remote applicants are not being considered.
What you'll do... - Lead the development and support change management initiatives to drive seamless adoption of new technologies and processes in live operations
- Partner cross-functionally (Integration, Engineering, Operations, Vendors) to prepare facilities and teams for automation go-lives, including training and communication plans
- Leverage data analysis and digital tools to develop insights, influence strategy, and drive operational excellence
- Oversee process flow and automation system design, ensuring scalable, efficient, and compliant fulfillment solutions
- Manage large-scale projects, identifying risks and ensuring successful launches through strong stakeholder communication and contingency planning
- Engineer and document associate work instructions, ensuring alignment between automated systems and human workflows.
- Guide process documentation and standardization to enable repeatable, efficient deployment across multiple store environments.
What You’ll Bring... - 3-5+ years of experience in operational and engineering expertise, demonstrated success in complex system integration.
- Proven ability to translate technical automation designs into scalable, executable operational procedures.
- Strong skills in data analysis, digital literacy, and influencing business decisions
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% to support automation launches and operational transitions, including occasional nights or weekends as needed.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
